Well
I had a good learning day at the track. Which was one of the real reasons
I went to this pull.
Things I learned
1. Have to jet down 4 sizes I have 100 in and I'll drop down too 96's..
ShaZam seemed to flood itself out at the end of the track.
2. I have a lot more power then I had before. I picked a conservative gear
700 for the first pull but I should have had a 900 instead. I was bouncing
off the rev. limiter (8000 Rpm's) at the 100' mark and she stayed there
for the whole pull.
The pull...
As I left the line I eased it to the 75' mark where I put the go fast
peddle to the floor some and the tach jumped to 8000 Rpm's. And after all
my reasoning I came down too if it's there already then mash it the rest
of the way..
Shazam seem to be just skating on top of the track. Got down to the
hurting end of the track and the Eliminator drop the last stage and ShaZam
came to a Stop at the 283.7 Ft. mark. Which was pretty good at that time,
I was the 7th truck in line out of 20 and I was in 3rd place for now.
But the track seem too be getting better with each truck that pulled.
After the class was done I ended up placing 15th out of 20 trucks..
But what I learned will come into play next weekend at Wabeno where the
first club pull takes place ..
Our two clubs up here well have One very competitive Super Stock class
this year. We should end up with 17 to 20 trucks ..
